Before you write

Many common questions already have an instant answer on the site:

• Need a width or height for a ratio? Use the aspect ratio calculator — type one dimension and the other appears instantly.
• What size for Instagram, YouTube or TikTok? See social media image sizes.
• What does 16:9 actually mean? Start with aspect ratios explained.
• Why do two images with the same ratio have different pixel sizes? See aspect ratio vs. resolution.

Reporting a calculator problem

If a result looks wrong or the tool misbehaves, include these details so we can reproduce it quickly:

• Which page you were on (for example the 16:9 calculator).
• The exact ratio, width and height you entered.
• The link from your address bar — the calculator stores your numbers in the URL (the ?r=…&w=…&h=… part), so pasting it reopens the exact same calculation.
• Your browser and device (for example Chrome on Windows, or Safari on iPhone).
• A screenshot if you can — it is often faster than describing the problem.

Requesting a feature or a new ratio

Want a preset, platform or unit we do not cover yet? Tell us the ratio or the exact use case — for example "a 2.35:1 cinema preset" or "centimetre output for print". Requests that come up often get built first.

What to expect

We read every message. RatioForge is run by a small independent team, so a reply can take a few days, but genuine bug reports and clear feature ideas do get acted on. Your email address is only used to reply to you — it is never shared or added to a mailing list.
